Corporate responsibility is increasingly important to us at Saher and to our customers and owners. That is why we aim to be a trendsetter and pioneer in the market in terms of responsible business operations.
For almost 40 years, we have manufactured durable, long-lasting and recyclable construction products and taken care of our employees’ safety and satisfaction. By making the right choices, we aim to curb climate change, support the circular economy and act responsibly.
Saher has been awarded the Key Flag symbol for its gates, reinforced fences and fencing services. The Key Flag designates Finnish work and products made in Finland.

Responsible supply chain
To accomplish a positive change, we aim to understand how we can take greater account of corporate responsibility at different stages of the supply chain.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Our operations are based on long-lasting, repairable products manufactured from durable, high-quality raw materials. We also consider the availability of spare parts when we develop our products. Our product development process involves setting criteria for the quality and durability of products.
RAW MATERIALS: Our supplier base consists of suppliers with expertise in high-quality raw materials, recycled raw materials and their suitability for use in our products. Wherever possible, we use Finnish suppliers.
MANUFACTURING: We consider the carbon footprint of our production process, so we only use renewable electricity. We have taken various measures to reduce the carbon footprint of our production activities. The waste arising from production is sorted and reused efficiently. We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our production activities and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
DELIVERY: Efficient transportation from production to our customers helps reduce the environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions. We stick to the quoted delivery times when we supply our products.
USAGE: We invest in the quality and usability of our products. We provide products that correspond to the prevailing norms in the sector, offer competitive technical features, operate reliably and meet our customers’ needs. We pay special attention to ensuring that our products can be effectively installed and maintained.
REPAIRS: We help our customers extend the service life of our products by providing spare parts.
RECYCLING: Our products are made mainly from recyclable raw materials.

We calculated our carbon emissions in 2022 to work out the carbon footprint of our operations. We have endeavoured to reduce it by switching to renewable electricity and LED lighting.
All product development is based around the availability of spare parts. This ensures our products are long-lasting and repairable. We use recyclable raw materials in our products.
